Being "Detached" is very different from being "Disconnected" or in "Avoidance." The state of consciousness called "Equanimity" is the purest form of Spiritual Evolution in the physical. It is also a perfected state of "Detachment."

Unfortunately most of us live in the 21st century, and are at a disadvantage when it comes to social acceptance on the spiritual path. We have to make a living so we can pay for our rent or mortgage, support our families, car payments and insurance, and we are bombarded constantly by devastating news broadcasts from around the world showing thousands, and sometimes even millions of people suffering, and dying which creates severe emotional stresses in our lives.

The answer to all of this is "Spiritual Awakening and Full Enlightenment." As you grow on the spiritual path you start to see patterns which have been laid down for centuries by other spiritual initiates who have gone before us. Some of these "Initiates" have had books written about them because they were tenacious enough to reach their spiritual goal - full God Realization. For them, it was an arduous journey to say the least, but it no longer has to be that way for you.
