He was initiated into a variety of Hindu Yoga systems by several world renowned Hindu Sat Gurus (fully realized, and enlightened spiritual teachers), and Saints such as Ammachi, Gurumayi, Anandi Ma, Sat Guru Sant Keshavadasji, Karunamai, and many others. He was initiated into Tibetan Buddhism by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and one of his teachers named Orgyen Kusum Lingpa, and several other Rimpoches (enlightened spiritual teachers). Yona had been initiated into Kriya Babaji Yoga, and the Egyptian Mystery School of Isis.

He has practiced different types of mantras, meditations, Tai Chi, Paqua, Qi Gong, Karate and Aikijitsu. He became a black belt in a system of Okinawan Karate called Shorinji Ryu (Shaolin Temple Style). Through the martial arts, he learned the importance of focus, and being grounded. It was also a great form of physical and emotional cleansing.

He graduated from a Clairvoyant Program where he learned to give Clairvoyant/Psychic readings to others. He went through a Trance-Mediumship Program where he learned to heal himself while giving Psychic/Spiritual Trance-Medium Healings to others.

Beginning in January of 1992 he was on staff with over thirty psychics, and spiritual healers at the Reunion Center of Light for several years. He was on staff with over fifteen psychics, and spiritual healers at the Infinite Wisdom Book Store, and Spiritual Healing Center for several more years. He has also been offering Spiritual Healings, and Empowerments through KEEN.com to thousands of clients from around the world since March of 2003.

Yona has been initiated, and received spiritual healings for over fifteen years, and running from Patti (a spiritually enlightened friend of his). He has received, and has given hundreds of hours of psychic, and spiritual counseling, and healings as a form of community service. He has offered hundreds of hours of his time to assisting people in his spiritual community to grow, and heal on a personal level. He has been compassionate to others, and he learned to do the same for himself.

He has attempted to become a vegetarian (later went back to meat however), and did not drink sodas or coffee, and tea for some time (also went back to these things, but in moderation).

Yona also tried the middle path. He practiced the art of detachment. He gave everything he owned away at least four times in his life. He had serious thoughts about becoming a monk early on in his life. He had experienced being out-of-body without the need for physical death. He had experienced being in the state of Equanimity, and being Christed for a period of time. He prayed, and read many books about great beings, and thought about God, and about his own mortality. He prayed daily for enlightenment, surrender, faith, understanding, gratitude, unconditional love, and compassion.

He went to several Satsangs (being in the presence of truth - a fully enlightened person). He received Darshan (blessings) from several enlightened beings including personal visitations from Mother Mary, Father Joseph, and Lord Christ (in spirit form). He attended many spiritual gatherings, workshops, seminars, and temples. He started his own spiritual ministry, and offers spiritual empowerment workshops.

He is Nationally Certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. He endured physical, emotional, and spiritual pain, and healing. He conducted private interviews with many spiritual aspirants to learn what they are doing on their path.

He had been consciously wrapping up old Karmas with his parents, and friends. He worked on healing all of his relationships within himself, and others. He even goes out of his way to wrap up Karmas with people he meets on a day-to-day basis. He learned how to re-pattern his thinking through N.L.P. (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
